Website Questionnaire: Questions We Ask Before Estimating

Answer as many as you can — the more we know, the more accurate your estimate.

Your company
Your company tag line or slogan. Do you have a logo or a corporate visual identity? If so, please send it. Your company address, and a short description of your organisation — something like an elevator pitch that could be used in the home page copy.
Your business
The nature of your business, with a brief description of your products or services. What sets you apart for a particular group of customers? Which needs does your business meet, and what problems does it solve for your prospects?
Your audience
Who is your target market? Describe your potential customers — income, interests, gender, age — or, for a business-to-business site, the kinds of companies you want to attract. List the benefits your business offers them.
Look and content
The look you want (clean, high-tech, conservative, warm, flashy…). At least three websites you like the look of, considering layout, colours, navigation, graphics and typography. The main sections or categories for your navigation, and any images you have or the type of imagery you want.
Pages, domain and hosting
How many pages you need and the domain name you want. Have you already registered a domain? Should we host your website and email? If you already have shared hosting or a domain manager, let us know (we cannot guarantee security on shared hosts we do not manage).
Contact and decisions
Your email, phone number and any messaging handles. Who are the decision makers on this project, and how quickly can decisions be made?
